Attack on military in Gwadar
A military vehicle fetching water for troops came under attack by militants which resulted in killing of 3 soldiers. Attackers took their weapons away with them after the attack. Baloch militant group Baloch Liberation Front has claimed the responsibility of attack. The timing of attack is very important as Pakistan Army has launched an operation across the country against Baloch militant groups, TTP and ISKP. Since the arrest of Baloch militant commander Gulzar Imam from Turkey, IBOs from Pakistani LEAs have increased. Security experts believed that Gulzar Imam has provided key information during investigations which has resulted in killing of around 35 BLA militants while around 40 militants from BLF, BNA and other groups. Gulzar Imam has also provided key information regarding role of foreign agencies in destabilizing Balochistan and Pakistan and their facilitators in Pakistan. After such huge loss by Baloch militant groups, they are conducting attacks near high security areas like Gwadar to boost up confidence of militants and trying to convey message that they are still in power. On the other hand, LEAs are targeting financial hubs as well and have given major blow to financial network of Baloch militant groups. A truck carrying weapons is also captured by LEAs while driver was carrying letter of Sarfaraz Bungalzai for Baloch militants.
